Late afternoon and evening hours fill up quickly and are sometimes not available. Please make appointments several days in advance to ensure a regular appointment schedule. Appointments Appointments are on a scheduled basis. Sessions are generally fifty-minutes. Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. I request advanced notice for changes or cancellation. A regular session fee is charged for either a missed appointment or less than 24 hours notice of cancellation. Fees Fees are set in the first session and full payment is expected for services rendered at each visit. I am an out-of-network provider and while fees are not based on insurance eligibility or availability, I will gladly supply a documented statement for your health insurance company at your request. Please make checks payable to me, Dr. Brenda Rozier-Clark. I will provide you with a per session statement listing the services, fees, payment receipts, and any account balance. Communicating With Your Counselor You may contact me by calling my office telephone number: 703 866-9999 and leaving a voice mail message. I will return your call between office appointments or after business hours. If you have a therapeutic concern between scheduled sessions that requires an extended consultation by telephone, I will bill you at the regular fee on a prorated basis. Please note that I do not provide emergency services. Should an emergency arise, I encourage you to call your local emergency services provider, such as your local hospital Emergency Department and/or 911. Mission and Purpose I seek to be an instrument in your healing from emotional injury, to serve as your wisdom partner in helping you find reconciliation and hope again, providing a warm, trusting and safe professional space for you to be heard by me your licensed counselor. In the historical tradition of pastoral counseling, a part of my training, I seek to bring healing, wholeness, and hope to you in your personal journey and in your relationships, without regard to race, creed, ethnicity, nationality, age , or gender/sexual identity. Consultation and Supervision Respecting the integrity and honor of this work, I participate in supervision, peer consultation, and continuing professional development as part of my work. I may discuss your care with a clinical consultant to provide you with the best of care for your optimal well being. If a specialized consultation is recommended for you, I will recommend or help you find an appropriate professional. Such a specialist will bill you separately for her/his service. I am committed to the standards and ethics of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, The Board of Counseling, Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia, and of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, of which an aspect of this concerns confidentiality. You may be confident that all information you share with me will be held in strictest confidence.
