Office:5417-C Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151 Phone: 703-866-9999
Office Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday afternoons and evenings, by appointment. Late afternoon and evening hours fill up quickly and are sometimes not available. Please make appointments several days in advance to insure a regular appointment schedule.
Appointments Appointments are on a scheduled basis. Sessions are generally fifty-minutes. Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. I request advanced notice for changes or cancellation. A regular session fee is charged for either a missed appointment or with less than 24 hours notice.
Fees Fees are set in the first session and full payment is expected for services rendered at each visit. I am an out-of-network provider and while fees are not based on insurance eligibility or availability, I will gladly supply a documented statement for your health insurance company at your request. Please make checks payable to Dr. Brenda Rozier-Clark. You will be given a monthly statement listing the services, fees, receipts, and account balance.
Communicating With Your Counselor You may contact me by calling my office telephone number: 703 866-9999. You may leave a voice mail message and I will return your call between office appointments or after business hours. If you have a therapeutic concern between scheduled sessions that requires a extended consultation by telephone, you will be billed at the regular fee on a prorated basis. However, I do not provide emergency services. Should an emergency arise, I encourage you to call your local emergency services provider, such as your local hospital Emergency Department and/or 911.
Mission and Purpose I seek to be an instrument in the healing, reconciling, and caring of souls by providing a safe and sacred space for persons to be still before God and be heard in the presence of a pastoral Professional Counselor. In the historical tradition of pastoral counseling, I seek to bring healing, wholeness, and hope to persons and relationships without regard to race, creed, ethnicity, age or gender. Furthering the ministry of the faith community, I offer persons acceptance, support, and direction in their hurt, injury, brokenness and struggle.
Consultation and Supervision Respecting the integrity and honor of this work, I participate in supervision, peer consultation, and continuing professional development as part of my work. I may discuss your care with a clinical consultant to provide you with the best of care for your optimal well being. If a specialized consultation is recommended, I will recommend or help you find an appropriate professional. Such a specialist will bill you separately for her/his service.
Code of Ethics and Confidentiality I am educated, licensed, and certified to provide clinical services to individuals, families, and couples. I am committed to the standards and ethics of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, The Board of Counseling, Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia, and of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, of which an aspect of this concerns confidentiality. You may be confident that all information you share with me will be held in strictest confidence. I will not make any information available to individuals or agencies without your written consent, except under the following circumstances:
You pose a danger to yourself or to someone else.
There is concern about child abuse.
A Court of Law issues a subpoena and your counselor is not exempt or excused.
Notwithstanding, should any of the above situations occur, I will be committed to the upmost of care for you.
